Mentor Network
The goal of the Mentor Network of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is to match mentors, both men and women, with girls and women who are interested in mathematics or who are pursuing careers in mathematics. The network links mentors with women in various groups, including recent PhD’s, graduate and undergraduate students and is open to both members and non-members of the AWM. CMS members who are interested in becoming mentors or would like to request a mentor can visit the mentor network website at www.awm-math.org/mentornetwork.html and fill out the form provided.

Women in Math poster
As part of its celebrations of the World Mathematical Year in 2000, the CMS sponsored the creation of a poster on women in mathematics. The poster features six outstanding women mathematicians who were awarded the Krieger-Nelson Prize from 1995 to 2000. This prize is awarded annually by the CMS for distinguished research by women in mathematics and honours the careers of Cecelia Krieger and Evelyn Nelson. You can download a full-size version of the poster in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format.
